Recontract with StarHub, surprised to realised its P9 model is w/o NFC. How come Singtel P9 model always come with NFC? Different Telecoms have different models?

Recommend to apply a film sp over the glass covering the camera. Mine have micro scratches even without placing any sharp objects near it.

for the past month, there's this dbs promo where you can win $5 paylah or shopping voucher for every $15 nfc payment.

I did complain on their fb about the disadvantages of not having nfc. too many promos out there.

I have not used Huawei phone but all Android phones work almost the same way. When you are in Spore you will set the SIM 1 slot (where your SG number is kept) to 4G and you can set SIM2 slot to 2G if you have another sim card. Else the 2nd slot is not used.

Assume you go overseas to Thailand and you buy a local data sim card. You will put it into SIM2 slot. You will then set SIM2 slot to 4G (or 3G). Then you set SIM1 slot to 2G. When overseas you will only use your SG sim card to receive telephone calls. WhatsApp and other app will still reach you because the app is linked to the phone. Things like WhatsApp will still work even if the SG number is set to 2G.

When you return to Spore, you reset SIM1 slot to be 4G again. Now if you do not have to change SIM1 slot to 2G, you can always take out your SG sim card from SIM1 slot and put it into SIM2 slot. When you return to Singapore you just swap the sim card back to SIM1 slot.

Because I always travel to the same oversea country I am lazy to take out and put in sim cards. So I use the software method to switch the 4G from slot 1 to slot 2. And reverse again when I reach Singapore. I have been doing this for close to 5 years.

Hope that clarify the point on how to manage the function of each slot.

Bro Slowdown,

Thanks so much for your clear explanation. I'll go look for the app to switch at the Playstore... looks like it's not so bleak for me since I also just revert to non-Data/ calls only on my SG sim card when I am overseas.

Also missed all banks android pay promo launch (except UOB). I received my $10 rebates from DBS by using android pay (promo launch). There was also a $5 Google play store credit promo by using android pay 3 times (ended 31st Oct).

Android pay launch promotion (ended) - just to entice you to use android pay:

DBS 25% Cashback capped at $10

McCafe $2 Off with $6 Purchase

OCBC 5% Rebate with Android Pay capped at $15

Standard Chartered also gave rebates, but couldn't remember the T&C.

UOB worse got nothing.

quick question regarding default sms apps

when I opened the messaging apps and press on the "New message" at bottom left hand Conner , I saw a list of users that I have contacted. Is there a way to remove/clear the list?

Thanks again bryson... tinking to get this or mate 9.

I realise no OIS for p9 plus, will that affect photo taking? I prefer the look of the back of p9 plus compared to mate 9
