My P9 Plus factory reset by itself this morning, all my contacts, SMS, apps were gone. Luckily the photos still there. Anyone encountered this before? what was the problem?

Where to get good sp.. All the sp I bought is either small or large enough but the edges won't stick. Sigh.. Now I currently using a type of flimsy thin kind of gel like film which is a pain in the arse to lay down nicely but it works for now.

same with my stupid p9. photos still there because they were saved to SD card and not phone memory.

last time also got 1 guy complain on FB that his P9 auto reset twice in 2 weeks.
recently got another person complain on FB that Mate 9 auto reset. you can go FB see for yourself

don't know what lousy phone storage they using for their phones causing auto reset.

Never had this problem on my cheap redmi phones.

Maybe you guys have installed bad app or disabled critical system app. New android 6 features will auto reset phone if you key in wrongly for a certain amount of time too.

Doubt it's a bad app because all my phones got exactly same apps and nothing has happened to my other phones. i am very careful what apps I install on my phones since i use my phones for internet banking.

I don't disable any apps on my phones. I don't root my phones either. I'm not a novice user of android phone. I've been using android since HTC Hero 7 years ago until now. Never had a such stupid phone like the P9 which auto reset itself.

Don't know what you mean by keyed in wrongly for certain amount of time. The phone was left alone and when I pick it up to use it, I found it has reset itself.

There's a few reasons, you'll have to try one by one. Software and app issues have higher priority.
