I just install GBox from App Gallery, and that's it. From GBox, you can search and install Play Store.

Having said that, many of the apps are on App Gallery. Download from there first. If not there, you then go to GBox.

Gurus, i am thinking to get a china set over sg set.

From what i understand. China set is slightly cheaper, comes with mystery 5g connection, able to use most apps that are based on GMS (for e.g google map, youtube, google calendar, android auto) , but no warranty in Sg

The only good thing about international set is warranty?

Did i understand correctly?

Yes... Currently using china set. Have 5g and using native GMS installation.
Only thing is no warranty. No android auto, Google pay and MacDonalds app

Mine is on Harmony OS 4.2, most apps from App Gallery. Otherwise from Google Playstore on GBox.

Have 5G. No Google Pay, McDonald's, Amex Pay. Huawei Wallet cannot put in credit cards.

I intend to get cn set but one very big concern for me, if Huawei push harmony next to this phone, gg to all Google and android apps. Cn use no problem but here, big big problem

At least those buy local, emui will stay. Harmony os, big risk.

Buying a CN set has some risk that Harmony OS Next may be pushed to it since it is not on EMUI.

However most international MatePad and MatePad Pro tablets sold are on Harmony OS 4.2. It will be very odd for all these international Matepad tablets to lose all Android apps.

In addition, Harmony OS 4.2 devices can run side loaded Android apps without MicroG. This may be a hint for the future of Harmony OS. Have to wait and see.
