Huawei warranty

Just bought a new Huawei phone. Checked the warranty earlier, somehow it's saying the warranty started in May, which is 2 months before I made this purchase. Has anybody else encountered this?

Where did you buy it?

Not sure how their warranty works. It could be based on their courier delivery date or first time when connected to internet.

Just keep the receipt. I have serviced my Huawei phone before and they used the proof of purchase to determine the warranty.
