Hahahahahaha and there I was trying to recall the fella's name just these few days ago when a wave of 2007-08 nostalgia hit me during my housekeeping of old photos of my pc parts from that era in my archive.

Yah Krado the staunch anti Intel guy. Had the misfortune of actually meeting him in person once in SLS and my friend and I were like this guy is nuts!

IDK how your aego m sounds like but you can consider buying a stronger subwoofer to complement it

I have an old creative inspire 2.1 speakers and the bass is still strong (despite small diameter). Newer creative speakers of a similar model do not sound as it used to be based on amazon reviews.

As a Presonus Eris E5 user for a few years now, I can say the Eris E5 is a good bargain, cheaper than KRK equivalent but comparable in terms of sound quality. But if u have a bit more budget, get the JBL LSR305 series, they blow the competition away in terms of sound quality at the sub-$500 price bracket.
