Actually checked with a few shops... their price all standard.... from what i heard, gopro control price and threaten not to release stock to shops if they sell at a cheaper price.....

all retail outlets have the same standard pricing. The only difference is which retailer gonna throw in more freebies for u.

Control price? When I was in HK airport couple of days ago, 2 shops were selling at different pricing. Also when you down in their electronic shops in Mong Kok. You get more variety of pricing.

yeah i get the feeling it's qiite controlled, when usual retailers that give discounts dont do that. bought at changi airport electronic hub, public area, 3rd floor departure hall. they absorb gst. if u got changi rewards, the pts are a bonus. also i saw yday a promo by parisilk for their online store on rakuten. 10%. and i saw they got sell gopro hero 4. so, that sounds even better. no link though, go search and feedback if manage to find. hope it helps.

Hi

Not sure where I can post my bad experience with GoPro 4 Silver.

It goes like this:

- Bought off a sealed box from Carousell app
- Did all the manual stuffs
- Tested with my pal who owns a GP4S. Went well
- Next day, my first try with GP4S and it went smoothly
- Half day, GP4S unresponsive (power button/record button)
1) first time power on OK
2) pressed record button NOT OK
3) then power off
4) second time power on NOT OK
5) take out/in battery
6) second time power on OK
7) same problem from 2-4.

Stumped, I asked my 2 pals to help test my GP4S. They used their batteries/cards and concluded its probably power button defective. An email to GoPro APAC is essential to find out what next course is to be undertaken........but

PROBLEM:
I bought it from Carousell app and I was supposed to ask for receipt as proof but I didn't in the end (my fault for overlooking this).

So will RMA course be rendered successful without receipt proof? Any advise is appreciated, thanks!

bro, try below to upgrade your gopro to the latest firmware.
- format your microSD from PC
- put in gopro and format all, and then take 1 picture
- turn off and take out microSD from gopro and insert in PC again (u will see all the folders created there)
- download the update.zip from gopro website (u need to register the product to get the link)
- copy into the microSD
- put back into gopro and turn on, it will auto update.

another thing is what do you mean pressed record button NOT OK? is it hang or no response?

Grab as in switch to use, or buy? I'm interested in buying the Silver and I read that the included package comes with both the skeleton and standard housing as default.

Or are there different editions that comes with different accessories?
