Less than that. It depend on travel mode. Do take note Honda design is mild hybrid system vs Toyota design.

So far I think most user need to replace battery around 3.5 year. Ie in 10 years life span, you may need 2 replacement.

Honda should be full hybrids now. Most likely there is one battery change within the 10 years ownership in year 5-6 to retain a good battery charge and fuel efficiency.

Currently to change one set is about $6k+ but I think it should fall to about $4k+ when more workshops learn how to handle hybrids in a few years' time.

In a few vezel hybrid group chat, with some of the drivers using the car for uber/grab and having the car for 4 years with 5 digits mileage, all still good though.

All about the same price nowadays la $3k for brand new, cheaper if reconditioned/used (assuming you're driving a non luxury brand car)

Hi, see my other thread where I experienced the 'check hybrid system' message last weekend.

Car is approx 7+ years old, around 110k km on the meter. When I bought the car 2.5 years ago (second hand) I was getting around 700km on a full tank (40L tank). It has slowly declined and recently getting around 600km only.

Driving is 70 city/30 highway.

Prior to the last incident, I've noticed a loss of power: when you step on the gas, there's a slight lag and then it seems to kick in after a while. Also, the engine starts up more often to charge the battery, which dips to 1 bar more frequently (when I first got the car, it was almost always at 2 bars, then the engine would kick in to charge it back up).

I guess since I got the car at 5 years old, the battery has declined slightly over the past 2 years, but more evident the last 3-6 months.

I'm getting a battery replacement as it's under warranty from Borneo.

how to get the battery replacement from Borneo?

do they classified as normal wear and tear?

just got a used almost 8years old ct200h with 110kkm ( which is a hidden prius), i want to renew COE and give the car to my dad as his retirement car... so i need to replace its hybrid batteries

was quoting Gymrat76 : I'm getting a battery replacement as it's under warranty from Borneo.

Just wondering on what basis, we can use this warranty.
I understood the battery has 10 years warranty

Regardless of any changes in ownership, the Lexus hybrid battery will remain under warranty for 10 years* from it's original registration date under Borneo Motors.
*Applicable for vehicles registered from 7th June 2012.
There shall be no restrictions on the number of hybrid battery claims** from Year 1 to Year 10.
**Applicable for vehicles registered from 1st July 2018.

Just bring it in and ask them to diagnose. If your car falls within the 10 year warranty period and shows the signs of needing replacement, then they will replace for you under warranty. Only Borneo can give you the answer as it's case by case basis on how they judge a battery needs replacement. Are you having issues with the car that are battery related?

No issue yet, maybe just the charge doesn't seems to hold too well. I will bring it to borneo soon then to let them diagnose.

thanks Gymrat76

did you finally replace the battery back then?

That is assuming you go back to Lexus AD to service the car right? The servicing will be expensive, compare to outside workshop
