Scythe Ultra Kaze is a great fan but noisy imo, get a silicon damper or some soft absorber btw the contact on ur case else if ur not really in need of the max spd, get a spd controller or set it in ur bios if its connected to ur mobo.

i actaully bought a ultra kaze put it on and then removed it and kept it back in the box., now it's sitting in the box doing nothing.

well, the moving air was great, very strong and super excellent.

but it's too loud, and it's not the sound of the fan mechanism or anything... it's the sound of the air rushing though it.... that one cannot do anything unless you undervolt.

another reason i stopped using it is the very short lifespan in the specs.... 30,000 hrs only if i remember correctly, as compared to other fans like the noise blocker which is 120,000 hrs and the gentle typhoons which is also longer, which i think also runs cooler.

well, i had a choice so.... good fan, moves a lot of wind... but i could live with less air and less noise and longer operating lifespan of the other fans.
