Should be out a few hours ago but no news yet.

Think although buggy at times but it is not to the extend of paperweight. Just irritating that's all.

dl > extract > dx50 internal storage> switch on dx 50> settings > advance settings> update( under factory reset)

lettings go of my dx50. i thought that they implemented the whole aesthetic and ergonomics very nicely. but touch navigation wise, its not there yet which i didnt realise is a deal breaker till i use it.

Instruction For Firmware upgrade:
1, extract the zip file, and copy the update.img into the DX50;
2, select Settings--->Advanced--->System update (the system update option appears after the DX50 has the update.img inside);
3, click OK to start the firmware update;
4, after the firmware update completed, select Settings--->Advanced--->Factory Reset to reset the DX50;
5, delete the update.img.

Bugs Rectified:
1, unable to play music that folder name or file name has the symbol ';
2, intermittent channels reversed bug;
3, display and play hidden file, that lead to system frozen

Functions Added:
1, Genre added;
2, thumbnail album artwork preview in Album;
3, play all funcction (when select a track on All Music, all tracks will be added to the Now Playing)

lol..the player now can play all.!!!!!! but..the album cannot group properly~..

damn sian....i am reverting to my x3!

Did the update. The whole process was pretty fast, which is less than 10min. The item 5. Delete the update file after factory reset may not be needed cos my file just deleted itself.

Now play all is functioning well. Album cover works well in most of the directories.

No differences in screen sensitivity. So just need to get used to it.

The 'return to top of list' bug is gone. Now if you go back, it shows where you have scrolled to. No more scrolling from 1st album/song again.

The only problem is the album list is screwed for albums with multiple singers/artistes (compilations). Now each song in the album is recognised as separate album.

Still, DX50 sounds great. With this new FW it is much more usable and I am enjoying it now.

What I wish to see next: Playlist

It will definitely get better.........

DO NOT FLASH if you have high res music. I think this firmware is a step backwards...

Compilations are now grouped by their individual artists albums instead of as an compilation album!

High res tracks some playing x2 slower...

This is terrible. I want to get back to the older firmware!

honestly.. coming from studio v dap... the ui on dx50 feels like ipodish man... it's all about perspective ^_^
