I think we have to be very careful about the warranty. It don cover everything from what I know..... It is rather subjective I feel....

I think warranty conditions did mentioned that defects due to misused are not covered under warranty.

finally got bac my lappy... happy!

everything bac 2 day 1 status... finally....

thinking of upgrading ram... twinmos 256 MB for $99 (w/o gst) good price? comments?

one more thing to all users... which software 2 upgrade 1st from ibm website? tons and tons of it.... dunno where to start.... also... got anything can manage these download one or nt??

For me, i auto update the software by using ACCESS IBM.

Here how you do it.
> Click on Get Help & Support which is located at the top.

> Click Download & Update.

> Click Updates from IBM

> It will run your IBM Update Connector.

> Follow the steps and had Fun

hi....when i click on the check for updates tab, a warning message pops out saying password for proxy server not valid or not set....may i know what is wrong?

Halo. I just bought T-40 from JOBS!!! Pls add me to your list.

However, I got a few questions to ask.

1) The first time I switch on my notebook, the batt states that the remainding batt life is 80%??? Seems that someone has charge for me.

2) The harddisk capacity is suppose to be 40G. Mine is 35 G. I know some of the harddisk space has been reserved to image the factory seetings. However when I use my IBM restore program, it will partion my harddisk for me and my harddisk capacity become 27 G. The IBM restore program actually consume 7 G of my harddisk. Do any of you encounter this problem?

help!! any r40 users found their lcd screen yellowish?

i compared my r40 lcd screens to other laptops or crt monitors and i found that the screen is quite yellowish!! that means the white colour are not white anymore..its abit yellow...

:(

anyone have the same problem as mine? thanx

But anyway, i uninstalled it. =p

where in nus server can u update the driver?
