so how much u spend on ur x220 including shipping?
and what is the spec?

I'm still waiting for CGW. Don't know how much shipping is yet.

Here are my specs:

i7/IPS/9cell/BT3/Wifi6205/Gobi3000/fingerprint reader/camera

total should be around US$1k. Maybe add GST blah blah will be around SGD$1.4k?

but I think doing this is not for the faint hearted. Quite a lot of risk involved. Never know if Lenovo(UPS)/CGW(DHL) screw up or something

Graphics went from 5.6 to 5.9. US owners have gotten 6.1 but I think it could come from having a SSD, because the rest of the specs are the same.

check your battery plan,

I believe if you run the test during performance / max battery life, it makes a difference.

Great idea! I just did and by enabling Turbo Boost, my Graphics went up to 6.2. :) Only my HDD is "stuck" at: 5.9

Cheerio!

I actually downgraded the W7 Prof to W7 Home, less US$50.

Err.. i don't care about the bag. I can easily get it for a much cheaper price than the so called "freebies".

My recommendation is if anyone really treasures the 3 year warranty, then please buy from our local authorized distributors/institutions. For me, I don't want to pay approx. (or more than) S$1k extra to get 2 more years of warranty, and worse still, get much lower specs (no IPS, no 9 cell, gobi 3000, etc).

So, to each his own. :)

Enter offer code THINK906 if I remember correctly

Yes you can custimize the feature you want. High end model is around this price but I think is 4G memory, 1 year depot warranty, 320G disk, no bag. So it will be around $1400 to $1500 with tax when it arrive Singapore.

If you add 3 years warranty, bag, 8G memory that most shop throw in in Singapore. The price different may be arount $200 saving if compare spec to spec.

$1999 at most place with 3 years on site warranty. That's why I say price different is about $200 to $300. This excluded those price offer in school.

Take note $1400 you get from USA is only depot warranty.

a bit hard to believe because you are implying that school deals are more expensive than what is outside.

NUS already selling 2.3k with lousy specs (i5, led, 4cell) though with 3 year warranty. and i need mobile lan!

your most places mean shops at Funan Centre? I can have a go again then. thanks~

Sian my shipped half way they returned the laptop to lenovo say

We apologize for the inconvenience caused. There were some orders which were supposed to be cancelled as it had payment issues as well as address issues. However those orders have shipped. That is why we requested UPS to return them to our warehouse. We will not be able to re-ship the packages. However we will refund the full amount to Amazon so that they can refund the money to you.

Sad sia ... Now waiting for money to be back to me ...

I just received my X220 yesterday which i ordered through lenovo US on 31/8.

Used comgateway too.Check with you, what was the billing address you entered?

A friend of mine had his T420 rejected like you too,we were guessing its due to the billing address. He had input his Singapore address as his billing address while i entered my comgateway address as my billing address.

Maybe you try again but this time use the comgateway address as the billing address.

Think many of you got the wrong idea, the 1 year depot warranty covers singapore too so not to worry.

$1999 in Singapore gets you only a I5-2520,6 cell battery and normal screen while the one we ordered in from US comes with I7-2620,9cell battery and IPS screen.Factor in another 2 years warranty if we were to buy it from Singapore,we would be seeing a savings of at least $500.Do the maths and you will know which is more worth it.

I was wondering if the Thinkpad Power Manager is really good or not? I am now using on battery power almost everyday. Everyday will perform a full recharge. I wonder will my battery wear out very fast?
