Happy New Year to All!

Did anyone manage to get the T440s in FHD Display? I looking for one, but from what I understand, Lenovo Singapore do not bring in the machine with FHD.

Also, does the local T440s come with backlit keyboard and 3G/LTE connectivity?

It is very frustrating that Lenovo SG does not allow customization while Lenovo US prevents the sale of laptop to foreign countries.

I also facing the same problem... Anyway to buy it locally?

Hi, I currently have X230T. May I know if I want to upgrade my RAM from the current 4GB, what should I do? Say, if I get a 8GB ram, do I add into the 2nd slot or take out the first 4GB and replace it with the 2nd slot? This is because I couldn't find the same Samsung brand. Also, which brand would you recommend? Thanks in advance!
p.s I use my laptop mainly for work. But sometimes very slow. So I thought upgrading the RAM might help to speed things up. Note tat I usually open many words and pdf documents at one go.

Any series 60/61 users still active here?

Just obtained a mint condition R60 for collection and installed XP professional. With only 1 month left to end of XP support, how many of u upgraded to a new thinkpad or win 7/8.1? :s13:

I upgraded mine to windows 7 long ago. Mechanical hard drive is quite slow for booting up of os, perhaps used to ssd booting up in my other notebooks. I don't like windows 8 personally, so i would recommend a windows 7 os in t60.

just add any 4GB DDR3-1600 RAM, no need to be same brand.
to really help boost performance, change to a 256GB SSD (~$300) if you can afford

Thank you very much. :) Just ordered an Intel 120GB SSD from Amazon at US$99.

read in many reviews that alot of users are unhappy with the new keyboard layout.

1 of the programs they mentioned will be affected by the missing insert key is ms excel.

any idea how is this so? i'm not a heavy user of excel so i can't really get a feel of this problem.

anyone bought a thinkpad from US and used the 3g/lte wwan module succesfully in sg?

the thinkpad gobi 5000 card.

the frequencies it supports and 3G frequencies used in sg seem to tally. but not sure if it works.

anyone thinking of getting from US site or ebay?

I just bought my T440s with FHD IPS display from Amazon.com. Could not find this model in any of the local shop.

Its a lot cheaper to buy from the US, but I am not sure how my warranty is going to be like. Most likely I going to ship it back to them if I need to repair it. But if 2~3 years no fault is damn good already.

Anyone bought a customized X1 Carbon(2014) from the Official Lenovo Shop in US online?

I planning to buy X1 online and ship it over to Singapore.

1. Is the warranty cover by Singapore Thinkpad Service Centre if I bought it from US?
2. Is there any difference from the local model? (e.g. software, hardware, etc)

Last I read from some forumers that US Lenovo will not ship the ThinkPad to Singapore direct and not even to couriers.

The alternate solution is to get your friends who reside in US or on tour to buy and bring back for you.

If alternate solution is not feasible, have to buy from local like me. :(
