How did u guys made purchasd frm lenovo us? My local cc payment(amex n stand cha) got declined and also PayPal.

You need USA address.
Forwarding company address, hotel address also not accepted. Tried that once while I am in USA.

Can't use SG CC / forwarding address since 2013.
At best you can try the buy for me service.

Their website says they can request for (Just for ASEAN)

A statement about their warranty service, they can be as helpful or as unhelp as they want.

Hey I guys I got a x1 extreme from Lenovo's site. It was shipped 29th of oct and supposed to be delivered to sg 31st of oct, but it's still stuck in shanghai since the 29th. I called UPS and they said its undergoing security screening and they have no delivery estimate anymore.
I've never had a package get stuck at origin. Especially for something like this coming straight from Lenovo, shouldn't be a problem.
Anyone had similar issue?

Where can I physically see a ThinkPad X1 Extreme in Singapore? I want to test the keyboard and have a look and feel of the chassis.

Warranty is always the biggest problem IMO...

That's right. Usually in USA it is 1 year depot warranty.
In Singapore, it is usually 3 years warranty.

Hi all I am having an issue with my laptop. One side of my T450 screen housing where it meets the hinge is protruding out and the back of the housing around the hinge area looks deformed. Now my laptop cannot be closed. Not sure how it happened as the laptop has always been on the desk. Anyone has this problem?

Was using the E440 prior to this and never had an issue.

what's the main differences between x1 carbon vs x1 extreme?
X1 extreme with gtx1050ti and H chip is $400 cheaper? X1 extreme cheaper because of its weight?

Hey guys, I've tried this with cgw (purchasing deport warranty for 3 years + accidental damage protection + international upgrade), but they tell me this:

11/20 Sorry, we are unable to purchase intangible items such as extended warranty. Do you want to proceed without it?

Does this happen to you guys?

Don't use CGW's buy for me service. Purchase it directly from Lenovo and set the delivery address as your CGW address. Alternatively, use vPost.


OR


You can buy the extended warranty at a later time so long as the main warranty is in effect. Some warranty options such as keep your drive or sealed battery replacement may not be available at that point.

Hey thanks for your response, I tried to check out with my friend's US credit card to ship to commgateway but it didn't work. I think your purchasing method could have worked last time?

With regards to the warranty, is it possible to purchase extended warranty after I have received the item in singapore? This is done via the same website that does not accept singapore cards?

The credit card holder must match the account holder as put in CGW. To prevent money laundering exploitation, etc.


I am not sure if Lenovo accepts a Paypal option.

Definitely don't accept any other paypal option or any other singapore CC. It's been this way for 4 plus years.
