In the past the X series, T series laptops come with "Thinklight" so that u can still work at night without light.

But sadly, I bought the X1 Carbon, considered quite high end, but it does not come with Thinklight anymore.... :(

Any1 knows any laptop model that comes with Thinklight?
is it good? thinking of getting one from US. Price is about $2.3k.

usually bout 2-4 weeks.. make sure all specs are correct. mine came without wireless...
So long! You did a custom config? I'm just taking a stock model. It said it'll ship in 2 business days ... but are they shipping it from their factory in China?

Oh man ... did you manage to change your model? Why would they allow you to buy a laptop without Wifi?

mine came in 2 wks(custom config).
i made a lot of noise over 1 week w lots of frustration then they added in a wifi adapter for free. i ended up selling the laptop after they installed e wifi adapter

now i resort to buying from Amazon US, then added in additional international warranty.

bought my X1 Carbon with 3 yrs warranty (i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, touchscreen) at $2600 instead of $3300

isn't the "international upgrade" is just for the optional coverage like the accidental damage, sealed battery replacement?

the International upgrade is IWS.
U can do a search on it.

IWS, all Thinkpads T and X series by default have international coverage, excluding additional coverage such as ADP, Sealed Battery Replacement, and Keep your drive. You can check your model is covered in the destination country as some model may have different parts from the origin country. So there is no need to purchase International Coverage AFAIK.

This add-on is to include the international coverage for those additional coverage such as ADP, Sealed Battery Replacement, and Keep your drive. So only makes sense if you added those additional coverage.
