Are you able to get all the drivers need for Win 7?

What driver u need for X61 on Windows 7?

The only device that is unable to find the driver is the HSDPA mini card.
Install Sierra 3G Watcher and it worked like a charm..

Drivers and software components can be found on the main website itself. It is advisable to burn on dvd so you don't need to many CDs to burn. If anything goes wrong, just press the red button at the top. Don't forget to backup your data at all times. :)

Totally disappointed

I am a user of IBM Thinkpad T60, she gave me a lot of problems technically. The IBM engineers are totally unprofessional and inefficient while handling my case. They could not detect the major mistake they made that causes the reoccurred problems of my Thinkpad after taking it for "repair" for almost half a year!! This was the most ridiculous incident that happened. There were more unpleasant to my encounter with both the IBM's engineers and Lenovo's poor customer service.

I tried calling Lenovo Lancare, hoping that I would receive help from them. I was totally wrong as they shift the blame to the engineers and they do not wish to do anything about their unprofessional and inefficiency. They are unhelpful at all! And of cause, Lancare's customer service officers are equally inefficient as they would need to take weeks or even months to get back to me. I am totally fed up and annoyed and they are not going to do anything to compensate the lost of my warranty and my precious time.

Both the thinkpad and their lousy customer service disappoint me totally.

Do you guys encounter such injustice with Lenovo?

You are indeed lucky. Even the engineer came to my house to repair, they could not solve the problem and have to bring my Thinkpad back for further investigation that dragged half a year. Quite ridiculous isn't it? They changed the motherboard several times yet problems still persists. I thought that by approaching Lancare I would get satisfaction answer but obviously not the case they refused to help me. I do not know what is Lancare for. Care for the customers? I doubt so.

Just wondering how long have you been using your T60? Only one time failure? Mine had failed me a lot of times. Probably once in every two months and they would take her back for "repair" for at least one month and she came back worse then ever!

As a Lenovo user, I advised you to bring it up on their forum and hopefully one of the mod will make the arrangement for you.

I have been using T61p for almost two years and the only time I had to send it in for repairs is to fix the failed blower fan which took a day. I was running it fanless for quite some time, actually.

I think about 3 years already. She was seldom shutdown, resulting in battery died out in around 2 years. Usually for net surfing and office applications. She gets very much laggy and slow over time. Recently upgrade its ram and she works like new.

You are lucky as it may be a hard on problem and just motherboard will do the fix. Otherwise, it may be multiple trip or take a long time.

Yes, was thinking about going to the newspaper if they can't provide me with a satisfactory answer. If not would bring it up to CASE. Just wondering if T60 gives troubles to you guys too and how they actually handle your complaints. Doubting their ability and professionalism.

My circle of friends on T60 has no issues with their sets though.

Newspaper might indeed do some help to your situation.

Hi anyone here using x200 with Dell Wireless 5530 module (Ericsson F3507g) with windows 7 64bit and it's working?

I'm using an X61 with Dell Wireless 5530 module (Ericsson F3507g) with windows 7 64bit and it's working.

Very simple only. there is a thread in mydellmini forum for the drivers. I'm still
hoping someone there can extract for us the new A12 firmware (for Windows 7)
64BIT.

The trick is to MASK PIN 20 on the card itself and you will get it working, no
hardware control, just using software to enable/disable the card. I am using
SE's Wireless Manager to connect.
