Bios updates is #1.... Cannot think of another brands pushing BIOS updates that regularly as lenovo.

And yes, just create recovery disk and merge. Although it's a one time only thing, for me i am able to create another set after i do a restore using the disk created :o

This also means the BIOS has lots of bugs. You can see the fix list!

Guys, I'm using an x201 tablet i7, 8gb ram, 138gb ssd ... But for the results for the Windows Experience Index for Graphics is just 3.3. Is there something wrong? Hee. Sorry... My laopok acer gives me 6.7 for it.......... So much difference for this? :p hope it's not a dumb qn.....

Yes there are bugs but it is important to see the brand to dish out fixes speedily and we an see Lenovo doing that. That give me confident on the brand.

how to buy from US?

Can i check how you bought from the US? i tried Lenovo website using paypal and often payment couldnt go thru. I am not sure if it was becos i m placing order from sg.

can advise?

Yup, facing the same problem with ordering from US using vpost. Paypal couldnt get through.

Anyway any good shops to recommend for getting the T420 locally?

only can use amazon payments..nothing else

hi Thinkpad user, did anyone encounter this issue in your thinkpads?
the T420 that im having, had a funny issue, when ever a drag the file to some folder/ desktop. it will not appear, but when you try to drag the same file to the same location, it prompt you whether you want to over write or not. and you will have to refresh the file (press f5) den you can see the file again.

not a big issue, just that its kinda annoying.

Hi, don't know if it is the proper place to ask this but still need to ask some stuff.

i have an old T42 which cannot run for more than 10mins, e.g. installing software, updating windows, it will hang after couple on minutes. Install windows to new hard disk it will hang after few minutes.

Anyway knows what is the problem? Switching on the system and leaving it there without activity it will have no problems.

Please help if you know why this is happening, and anyway to repair it. Thanks in advance.
