Problem now is I think they are only opened on Weekdays?

I think I'll have to call in for Onsite support if the problem continues....

Since its possible for them to come to my place on Saturday.
Yup, they are only open on weekdays. But I think they end work quite late like 7.30pm. Last service is at 6.30pm if I recall correctly.

Yeap..

For me, It was about SGD 1000 cheaper (after adding in 3 years onsite warranty).... but its hard to compare cos for W520, they do not come with HD+ Screen & Nvidia 1000 GPU here.

In Singapore the W520 is costing close to SGD 3.5k for it came with Full HD Screen & Nvidia 2000 GPU.

It cost me less than SGD 1.7k for my W520 set! + several price matches after! Shipping was SGD 30+, GST was the killer, but I can claim with my company. -- SGD 100+

So technically, I may have saved another SGD 100 via price matches within the 1st 21 days upon Invoice was sent out.
Certain models you will see more savings definately.

Noobie here..can ask why you all seems to buy from overseas than in Singapore? Cheaper?? Thinking of getting one also..

Not for me. Company policy makes us purchase Lenovos from local authorised dealers. If I have to purchase my own Lenovo, then yes, I will try my best to get them from USA, as the deals that they have are quite a lot!

Hmm ok.. However I do not wanna take the risk.. as sometimes I end work quite late....

I swopped to another power cable, and so far no issue...

Could it be the power cable I use previously is faulty?

Monitoring for another week before calling in...

Luckily I bought e Onsite warranty.. otherwise weekdays I definitely most likely unable to bring my heavy W520 laptop down!

For any issues, just give them a call at 800 601 1343 and tell them your Lenovo laptop serial number and issue.

If you can do a print screen of your issue, you can attach it and email with your Service code to: lenserv@my.ibm.com

So when the Technician comes down, he can fix it asap.

Well, as long as you can describe in detail to the Help Desk, then it is fine. It is not a criteria to show a pic.

My examples were:

1.I had a cracked palmrest which they want to check if it was a stress fracture or because I dropped it.

2. LCD had vertical lines.

Cheers!

Just received a T420 in the office and I really like the solid feeling of a proper business 14" laptop!

Going to miss the 7-row keyboard once the refreshed laptops come out.

Oh well.

How long is the shipping to Singapore? Two weeks? Anyone can give their experience?

I'm considering the X220 at $1,029.

Thanks!

will take about 1 to 1.5 week from Comgateway / HopshopGo.

About 3 to 4 days from Lenovo's Shanghai plant to Oregon - CGW/HSG....

But you also have to note of the leadtime in producing the system after you placed your order. This can take 3 days to a week+.

Regards

What's the recommended way to pay through Lenovo US website? Do you use concierge service like what vpost is offering?
