Should I upgrade to the mSATA 128GB? anyone here already installed for x230?
the keyboard imo is quite good. solid feel. too bad i didn't got the IPS panel version.

Go for 512gb SSD. Don't bother with msata.

You can either add a mSATA SSD to your SATA HDD and/or you can replace your DVD-ROM with a HDD caddy and add another SATA HDD/SSD.

I'm planning to get the T530 from Lenovo USA website. Are the following correct?
1) get a comgateway / US address.
2) shop at lenovo USA and make payment using Singapore cc with Amazon checkout.
3) login CGW to send the package to SG address.
4) when i receive the laptop, revisit the lenovo website to purchase the extended warranty with serial number.

Do i need to pay any other charges like GST?

0: sign up at lenovo and get at least the member discount code.
if you can wait, sometimes the mailer have better discounts.

2: remember that you can only have 1 item in your cart. (that's why you can only buy with the base warranty)

if i remember correctly CGW will charge you GST when you declare the value.

Use it as a guide.

ComGateway charges USD30 +-. Cheaper than Vpost.

Is the warranty international?

If I were to change to 3 years warranty, is it also international?

I just got mine for the X220 ultrabase off ebay! Cheap at only S$19 but it took about 3-4wks to be delivered to my house.

I believe you can check out those HDD caddies for the T520 on ebay. (Ultrabay SATA 2nd HD Hard Drive Caddy Tray Lenovo ThinkPad T420i T510 W510 T520 | eBay).

No point paying through the nose for an original part that only serves as a connector for your HDD. And the ebay knockoff is about S$13, what's the risk?

shipping 40.40 + 5.66 fuel surcharge
"import clearance service fee" 121.24
mandatory insurance 10.75 (calculate from declared value + shipping)
