Try search on the forum but did not came across any thread on this issue. Anyone here know how do you delete this iPhone back up.

Traded in my 5S for a 6S. Restored from iTunes back up but also had a copy of the backup in iCloud.

Now I want to switch over to iCloud backup but not enough space so I want to delete old backup but I can see the "option" on the phone as there was no "Last Backup" for my 6s and I have no option to delete on 5S because its traded in.

Can't delete it on the web as well.

Any ideas ?

Storage is empty when I clicked and on the new phone itself its not there for me to delete.

I dig deeper into the apple discussion forums and notice that other users are having this issue. The one step that I and "they" miss is delete backup from iCloud before resetting the on the older device.

The again if I delete the back up how am I going to restore ?

Tried before starting the thread. Does not have the option there to select

To expend out on what I am trying to say. Does not even appear to have the backup there for me to delete regardless of platform. IOS, OSX or Windows as I have tired on all these platform.

But you can clearing see the storage is taken up by backup of the iPhone

thanks but problem is storage is taken up but no backups r listed. nothing to select for deletion :s22: it should be a backend issue. as OP has shared that more ppl have this issue, prob have to wait for apple to deploy e fix to their servers.

I suspect they cache some of the backup chunks data and too many people chocking on the bandwidth so they refresh time might be cancelled in between the refresh

been back n forth for a few weeks liao. they also collected logs from my device. still waiting for a definitive solution :(

actually the easiest way to solve it, just delete the cache up there and get it over and done with !

But they just want to make sure it's "you" who is the owner :(
