hi all
can Icoca card be used to pay for travel between cities eg. Osaka-Kyoto? or do I need to buy individual train tickets from the station?
thanks
yes, u can use icoca if taking normal train between osaka-kyoto
what's the normal train? is JR special rapid service considered normal train?
I am not sure how great is the deal you are looking at but typically, the fares for Children are half the Adult price. Some promotional tickets/combo may not have a child fare but paying for the regular child fare may still work out to be cheaper than getting any promo tickets/combo that are meant for adults.Hi all
Sorry to dig out this old thread. I understand that ICOCA and Haruka is not available for children.
We are travelling with 2 adults and 2 children 6 and 9 years old from KIX airport to Kyoto. What should we do with the kids train tickets?
Is it cheaper that we buy 4 Kansai One Pass and Haruka tickets and buy 2 children ICOCA cards for children to travel in japan. Then let the adults use the 4 Kansai One pass in Japan in order to purchase the Haruka at a cheaper rate for the children? Or is there any better way?
Thank you!
