Hey guys,

I just got a new job offer and i have been serving notice period in my current job. However, during my notice period, i am going for a 5 days LOW key ICT. my employer says will short my notice period of 5 days ( meaning i have to compensate 5 days worth of pay ) as i need to serve 30 days notice period before i proceed to my new job. ( In other words, i will suffer financial losses as in fact after counting , i will be working as free labour for NS for 5 days ). I dun have any break in between the transition period.

I apply for deferment and got rejected. Now trying for appeal but i think time is running out. my ICT is next week and should i go CMPB tml to speed up the process ? and also on 1st day ICT , talk to CO ?

Please help me guys with your advises. Appreciate much.

Thanks

Reservist is not considered part of notice period. Your company act blur. Ask them to wake up or complain to MOM.

Hmmm this being the case, I suppose u will have to submit your own Make Up Pay claim liao lor. Just use your payslip to claim the 5 days.

If company submitted the claim, that means they have to give u whatever MINDEF paid to them according to the claim and not keep it. The amount of the claim is yours, or your salary is yours. The company can't keep both.
