This is something that gets a bit blur for everyone at certain point..

So being blur, I need to ask about my situation..

Say I am paid 3100 (GROSS, 2480 is take home) per month, 20 working days for the ICT months and I am call up for 10 days.

Den I receive 1550 which is 3100/2. So my employer will pay me which of the following option?

A) 2480 - 1550 = 930
B) (2480 / 20 working days ) * 10 = 1240

Point A makes no sense as you are calculating gross pay with regards to net pay.

MUP has 2 types. 1 is auto and the other 1 is done by your company HR or your recruitment company if you are not directly employed.

Automatic MUP usually works for govt or stat boards. You will be paid as per usual; 3100 gross pay with 2480 take home (620 CPF)

Claimable MUP: you will be paid service pay first by SAF depending on your rank. For example if you are paid $500 service pay, your company will just deduct this from your take home pay which is 2480. For some companies who don't do it for you, then you have to do it yourself which works exactly the same.
