IDD call to Malaysia

Hi all, my mum needs to call her sister in malaysia on her singtel mobile.. i was checking for Singtel IDD and it seems to be more ex than Starhub.

Based on their website calculation:

Singtel TD 020 cost $1.80 for 5 minute call to Ipoh
Starhub IDD 018 cost S$0.85 for 5 minutes call to Ipoh

1) Any feedback on the quality on their IDD call ?
2) Can singtel mobile uses Starhub IDD 018 ?
3) Any other options as her call is everyday around 5 minutes.

I know we can use VOIP or Viber but elderly people only have those basic phones...

Is your Mum using a postpaid plan?

If yes, I would advise to subscribe the free 019 service.

Once you subscribe to it, only local charges/ free talktime applicable. No need to pay additional IDD charges. if your mum is calling Malaysia everyday, think of the potential savings.
