Hi all,
I would like to get some advice from you guys on the problem behind my PC.
Background:
1) My PC was previously having a lot of auto-restart problems, mainly due to my graphic card being faulty. I have sent it for repair, but the same old problems came back after a few months despite having repaired.
2) Now my graphic card is officially spoilt. I can use the PC when I plugged into the integrated graphics card on the mainboard. Just as I thought there won't be any auto-restart issues, it came back to me again.
3) PC will auto-restart itself from time to time. It does not restart within the same intervals, but usually after long hours of usage. But once it restarted by itself, when I try to turn on the PC subsequently, the restart issue will appear very frequently (e.g within 1 - 5 minute of usage).
Previously I thought the only problem lies behind my spoilt graphic card. Now due to the symptoms noted, I am quite clueless on the exact problem behind my PC.
1) Faulty power supply? How to confirm this because my PC will still run fine for quite long until the auto-restart problem arise?
2) Faulty mainboard/processor? How to confirm this as well because my PC still runs fine for quite long?
I have purchased all my PC parts slightly less than 2 year back. I am still covered under warranty. Most of them are 3 years warranty, and my power unit is under 5 years.
If I were to purchase a new graphic card, which of the recent release is comparable to my MSI R7850 Twin Frozr? (Budget: S$250 - S$350). Which would be worth for me to change to? GTX760? My power unit is 500W, and I am not too sure if it is good enough for a GTX760.
Sorry for the wall of text. Hope someone can help!
