Yeah.. battery lifespan depends on how many cycles it's charged.

Usually battery life is good for 2-3 years. Even if you manage to charge less cycles and stretch it to 4-5 years, apps updates will make the phone lag.

I replaced my Redmi note 8 battery about 2 years ago. Battery still good. But phone lags like hell. Main phone note 12 still ok after 3 yrs+ of use. No major lag.

Waiting for note 16 to come out in July August.

I researched this extensively, even read technical papers from battery manufacturers and third party testers …

the most damage are actually done when battery level starts exceeding 95% , the last 5% is the most damaging to battery’s lifespan

anything lower than 90%, the extra battery durability obtained isn’t that significant.. to summarize:

charge to 90% or 95% is the best balance of getting long usage time and yet have some protective effects from chemical degradation of the lithium battery
