Probably yes.... your commander will keep reminding u to show the rank that u currently have. Eventually will have punishment if u continue to ignore.

Anyway it's about $1.xx per rank rite? No choice lah.

As a NSman the pro-rated allowance is based on your last drawn rank allowance as a NSF. So if you were a CPL during NS, then you get pro-rated based on that.

Also, you don't really get paid by SAF unless you are still studying or jobless. If you are working, SAF may claim to pay you rank allowance but if you calculate your make up pay, you will realise the rank allowance is inside your make up pay.

In short, you just get compensated for your loss in civilian income, not a cent more. If your company doesn't pay you e.g. $800 due to you being away, SAF will pay you that $800. Nothing more.

But instead of saying your MUP is $800, SAF will say rank allowance is e.g. $200 and MUP is $600. I found this out when my so called MUP did not tally with what my company did not pay me. That's when I found out the rank allowance is added in to be part of MUP. In other words, SAF wayang and say they paid you rank allowance when technically they did not.

by right should be given i think 1 or 2 sets of rank on promotion.

considered lucky liao...i got promoted to 3rd sgt last year as nsman.
just show your promotion letter to emart can get 2 extra rank.

huh... like that your IPPT and RT pay is also pro-rated based on your last NSF pay? and not your current NSmen rank?

it is an offence to display an incorrect rank on your uniform.

so just change lah... you want save so much emart credits for what...

Base on PART 2 SECTION A CHAPTER 2.2 CLOTHING AND PERSONAL EQUIPMENT,

Para 2.2.1 INTRODUCTION
Clothing and Personal Equipment are issued to every soldier in the SAF. These items are issued to SAF personnel to ensure that they are appropriately dressed and equipped for all occasions, e.g. operational duties, ceremonial occasions, physical training etc. Replacement of items that have been damaged due to fair wear and tear is also available.

Para 2.2.4 INITIAL ISSUE
When receiving items, recipients must authenticate all Clothing and Personal Equipment issued to them as intake or newly-equipped items.

By right your unit must issued you newly-equipped items such as Clothing and Personal Equipment & record in SAF 1212A. However even experience REG/DXO maybe lazy or not aware that they MUST issued to you because all their life/unit culture to do issued to NSmen. It is wrong to quote that Unit give emart credits to you which is the reason why they do not issue you newly-equipped items.

Inform this to your commander & hope they issues you newly-equipped items such as rank epaulette. If they don't issues you, just forget it. Talk until you have MR, they also will not issues you. If they KPKB about your rank, just challenge them to demoted you back to CPL since you did not get any extra money during ICT as a CFC.

I'm more interested in what you did to get promoted to CFC. Most of the guys in my unit haven't received any promotions (not that they want it), so I'm guessing you kena arrow for more ICT responsibilities? Or did you do something outstanding, like capture illegal immigrants in LCK during outfield (IIRC there was a case few years back like this).
