Only singaporeans will think a levels is hard. Because singapore divide students up into ite, poly and jc and then previously em1, em2, em3 and also special, express, na, nt.

But actually a levels is pretty easy. Anyone with decent brain can pass

If go poly need to decide what you want to do later. If go JC, still can consider for another 2-3 years (4-5 years if got NS).

not so bad rah, those who do badly for A levels just don't take effort to understand the concepts. Honestly in university, one module content is more than 75% of H2 (any subject) content in JC

I went Poly with 13 points.

I got friends who die die want to go JC, so they picked YJC or MI. We laugh at them. We laugh again when they repeat 1st year. We laugh even harder when they dropout and go poly, way behind everyone else.

I know of one girl that go 2 years of JC but didn't grad with A level. Then she join poly.

When asked her, she say she dun want talk about it. OK lor

probably ~10% (should be lesser) of all JC students can't make it the 4 public universities. Although some who can go to the 4 public unis choose to register in private unis like SUSS or overseas uni lo

while in LSE Clementi, i have seen a few. Some even from Jurong Institute
I dunno where you get to know people. My CT class whole batch managed to go in to local university. And our class is considered average only.

A levels is no doubt tough. Very tough I should say. Even tougher than my uni days. Had to dig in and study hard. O levels is considered easy and merciful. I spent more time playing than studying during my Os, but struggled damn hard for A levels. Those who depend on luck in A levels won’t make it, just like those you know in real life.

Even during my uni days, I had to occasionally refer back to my A level reference books.

go jc if dont do well enough, cant get into a useful major in local uni..end up go fass or pte uni.

go poly if dont do well, you wont make it at jc for sure and wont even have the slightest chance to get into local uni. end up pte uni or start working.

poly pay is higher than A level. so do the sums. pte uni can still take part time. graduate already can join some threads to profess that uol clementi is the best pte uni etc etc.
