Thank you for your feedback. The logic behind the ignore function is unilateral, This is after all, meant to be a forum setting or post personalization for one user.
Sometimes, a user ignores another for various reasons, but it need not be broadcasted to the other party.
That said, we have over the years incessantly, requested forumers to add each other to their ignore lists which is synonymous to the feature you mentioned - also typically known as “block” in other social media settings. It needs to be seen if this functionality can be implemented on this platform.
I can see the use case where both “ignore” and “block” can co-exist together. Will pitch this to the forum administrators and the tech team.
thank you for the reply.
as of now, the current system of ignoring works only for not seeing content.
like for example, there is this guy always posting spoiler of movies so i ignore him.
win win.
however, this doesnt solve any conflicts at all.
say 2 users always stabbing and jabbing each other.
one of them uses ignore, that doesnt stop the other user from jabbing and insulting.
worst the one using ignore will never know what is spreading behind their back.
as you mentioned you suggested both parties to ignore each other but i doubt most will listen to.
if this can be implemented that also stop the reason stalking trouble that is happening the last 3 years. at least on this forum side anyway.
