iMac Harddisk

Hi guys, i've a 2.5-3 year old 21" iMac (out of warranty/applecare) which I suspect is having some problems with the 1TB internal harddisk. I think it's corrupted, or physical damaged to a state of beyond help.

So right now, i'm using a cheaper method by running the OS from a external harddisk via USB. I tried quoting from the one at 313 Sommerset, it turns out to be at least 800 SGD. Which is like half a new Macbook Air.

Do you think there's a place that you guys can recommend to fix this and is reasonably charged?

Out of warranty just buy your own HDD and DIY from instructions on ifixit.com.

Your old iMac is really easy to fix.

I've considered fixing myself, but looking at the video it looks quite risky. :| I dont mind paying alittle more to let some one more experience to do it.
