iMac Headphone Jack

Hi friends,

Where to buy the adapter for 3.5mm to RCA or its there any adapter USB to RCA?

I want to record the songs from my audio system into my iMac 2014 Garageband.

Or any other better way to do the above recording?

PS: i bought a normal 3.5mm to RCA but cannot use, i think the jack only have 3 segment instead of 4 segment, is the information correct?

you'll need to get a USB audio capture device... the newer iMacs do not come with a line-in port, only audio-out/headphone port (although I think they do support the in-line microphone of some headsets)... there are a number of USB audio/video capture devices such as elgato or Behringer...
