iMac issue help

Hi guys, I may have a problem.

Current fibernet plan I have is Fibernet 600 Mbps, speedboost to 1Gbps
Using direct Cat6 cable to my Asus router.

But speedtest shows, only max 90+ mbps.
Does that means my '07 iMac can't support?

Your older iMac is unlikely to see those blazing speeds..
That's why I stopped at 200 mps. More than fine for most applications

But even 2007 imac should have Gigabit support surely?

Ethernet : Built-in 10/100/1000BASE-T (Gigabit)

Yeap, I guess it should support tho.
But I can't seem to connect after selecting the 1000BASE-T

go to network utility in mac and see if the link rate connected is at 1gbps.

from there you will know if its gigabit connected. if it is, then likely there is an issue with the router. you might wanna change the ethernet port to which it is connected to.

if it is gigabit link rate, then likely your cable has a problem. use a different cable and see. play around with the router ports as well. from these, you will be able to deduce if the fault lies on your mac, cable or the router..

Tried connecting to different ports on my router. But under the Network Utility, it's still showing 100 not 1000Base-T.

So I guess i'll have to try buying new cable and try.
