Image freeze when full screen

I bought a 23in hp monitor for my 5 yr old HP core 2 duo pc. However notice that whenever i try to play movie on full screen it tends to freeze occassionaly and also slow at responding. Look up in the forum for solution and look like i need to either install or change the graphic cards. Checked on the details of hardware in the system information but I COULD NOT find any graphic card. If it is a graphic card issue can someone advise what model of graphic card do i need to get?. An estd cost of a used graphic card will be much appreciated.

u noe which hp model u havin? hp like to couple wif 19in in their system set, ur model may not have a gfx card. u playing full hd movie dat y lagging?
