iMessage attachments cannot be removed

This is a known issue and I thought to share here in case someone didn't aware.
I was checking my usage on my iPhone 5s, surprisingly I have 2.1gb of iMessage saved.
I didnt have so many messages but wonder what's the issue was.
Thinking that removing all the messages would free up the space.
I was wrong.
After I removed all the messages, the usage still show up 2.1gb used.

This is a known bug in ios 6.

If you have solution to it please share.

Plug your iPhone into iTunes and hit sync.
See if the 2.1 gig reduces.
