HELP MOI.

Specs of my rig:

i5 MSI MS-7636
16GB ram
1TB hard drive
Power supply will be upgraded too.

So, my graphic card just died.
Model: MSI Radeon HD 7770 OC 1 GB.

I play games like BF4, Crysis, D2, Total War: Rome 2(Running at max settings with a ultra battle), Metro: Last Light, Batman: Arkham Origin, Take On Helicopters, COD, Hitman, GTA, Far Cry, The Witcher 2, Arma 3, Tomb Raider, Skyrim, Stalker series, Assassin Creed, Bioshock, RE4, MINECRAFT.

Also hoping to prepare for Dark Souls 2, Thief, Watch Dogs, The Witcher 3, Tom Clancy: The division, Wolfenstein: The New Order, "GTA 5(PC)", Dying light.

Rig gonna last for at least 3 years or more if possible.
Would like to play games at ultra for current and future games.
Budget around $400-$700. Will be displaying at 1920x1080 resolution.

So my questions are;

What cards out there will be able to allow me to last around 2-3 years hopefully?
Say if there is a graphic card that fulfill my first requirement, what else do I need to upgrade still in order to compliment my graphic card to last 2-3 years. E.g cooling fans etc.

Lastly, say if most of my parts ain't in good conditions anymore(2 years plus for most parts and 4 years for my hard disk) if i were to wanna reassemble a new rig is it advisable?
Any recommendations for a new rig that will be able to play high end games, at a lowest cost possible?

Budget for new rig:

Graphic card: $400-$700
Monitor: 29" (Resolution: 1920x1080)
Hard drive: $100-$300
SSD: $200-$400 (Most reliable & around 256GB)
Motherboard: $300-$500
Power supply: $100-$300
RAM: $100-$250
Cooling system: $100-$200
Blu-ray Drive: $100-$200
OS: Windows 7 ( is it even possible to get it outside?)
Casing: $100-$250 ( Good grounding )

Thanks! :s13::s13:

Sapphire only offer 2 years warranty, get other for 3 years warranty.
Go for at HD270X if budget permit. HD260X is for low setting.

It will be better if u provide us the resolution u gaming for better recommendation

Up for the night~ Sexperts lip lai!

lol u cannot say ignore budget cos the price range for gpu is very wide...

from as low below 100 all the way to 2000+

very hard for ppl to make recommendations if u dont provide a price u are comfortable with

and with regards to ur concerns, ur trying to futureproof, which is number 1 mistake since no one can predict the future :s13::s13::s13:

the idea is to set realistic expectations lor

There is no budget for gpu, it is also very hard for us to recommend what you can buy.

There is no monitor specs, it is also hard to determine what your gpu is gonna power up.

To last 3 years? Is definitely can. But to play future games, answer is depends on how you gonna answer the top 2 questions.

I recently got a Gigabyte R7 260X from amazon to replace my gtx 460, cost US$119.99.

So the question is, would you spend US$200 for a card that will last 3 years, or spend US$119 for a card that lasts a shorter period and use the money saved to upgrade earlier.

(when you upgrade, the 260X can then be moved to HTPC, so it won't be wasted...)

agree with royfrosty, you really need to specify the monitor resolution you are playing at. 7770 1GB or 260x is definitely not going to get you decent frame rates (~60fps) for max settings at 1080p resolution for a game like Crysis.

The 260x now will probably only get you low settings for 1080p for the likes of Crysis/Metro. in three years time this may be only give you the performance of an entry level gpu of the generation then.

Your budget of $400-700 is valid or the over budget is valid? Do give us an overall budget instead of individual budget for parts.

Its the budget that I'm willing to spend and the max $700.
Overall, around $3K for new rig if thats what you're referring to~
