Importing the Switch from Japan, Advice needed

Hi Guys,

As stated, i am interested in importing a Switch; particularly the Special Monster Hunter XX Edition.

Reading around the net, ive found out that due to Japanese custom regulations they are required to remove the joy-cons and pack them separately? Is this true??

I am rather OCD about this in particular with others opening up the package and im wondering if its still the case or has the Japanese been more relaxed about this "more than 2 li-on batteries in a single package" rule.

Has anyone over here imported a Japanese console?
