In Japan, the CEO and board of directors will call a press conference and take a deep bow, and in the good old days, they may even commit hara-kiri.

That is Japan style. SG style is give fat bonus and increase fares to prevent more serious cock ups.

no hara-kiri, every such major issue deduct their pay. they dont want take responsibility always arrow this down to front line over worked under paid low level staff. the whole management should be fired and replaced. how many of them actually do take mrt everyday in the first place to understand wat we are going through? squeeze like sardine, aircon not working, train delays and then major outages every few months.

this is not one two time. its systematic issue, if the management dont come up with solution than they dont deserve to be there. enjoy high pay how come dont have responsibility and liability when things go wrong.

Here, it is either electrical fault or our fault because we did not pay them enough to maintain the train system properly.

What do you think of this statement from a former Transport Minister?
Pap culture is no blame culture. It's not their fault as the fault is always the ground, the individual guy who is handing the system.

During his tenure as the transport minister even worse , once he open his mouth the train line will have a breakdown the next day or the week.
