In Kyoto now. Need some quick answer!

I in kyoto now. Thinking of renting a bicycle tomorrow. But where do you park the bicycle when you are at a place? Do the shop also provide locks for the bicycle?

Depends on the bike you rent, but a lot of the bikes have a lock fixed onto it.

Try to park in a legal parking area if possible in Kyoto city. They sometimes cost money though. You can try leaving your bike where other bikes are parked, but if you park in a no-parking area, there is always the risk that they may be removed. Kyoto is super strict if you happen to be in the wrong place, wrong time.
