Incorrect name spelling on flight ticket

Called etihad. And they say 2 options.

1) take the risk and when check in as for the ammendment. But depends on who the counter lady on that day.

If let say I manage to change the name thanks to the counter lady. How about my flights coming back? Didn't get the thought of asking this. If the counter lady on the other side wasn't as nice as here. The same problem exist.

2) just make the ammendment about $200 for all.

ONe character short, they usually will not make a fuss and let you go.

Just go early to check in. If cannot check in then pay Etihad to reissue the ticket on the spot lor. I also bet $200 that it's not an issue. Can check in with no problem.

Know the difference between reservation (PNR), (electronic) air ticket and boarding pass. Check in staff will issue the boarding pass with the correct name as in the passport. Security will only check boarding pass and passport.
