India rejects Apple’s request in app antitrust probe

India’s Competition Commission (CCI) has denied Apple’s request to delay consideration of a revised investigation report.
This decision allows the antitrust case against Apple to proceed.
The internal order, dated November 13, described Apple’s request as “untenable.”
The investigation stems from a 2021 complaint by the Indian non-profit Together We Fight Society (TWFS) alleging that Apple misused its dominant position in the iOS app store market.
Apple denies these allegations, noting its small Indian market share compared to Android devices.
