Individual and sub CDP account

I was about to buy SSB and then realised that I don't have my CDP account number Searched high and low and found the number, but it turns out to be a sub CDP account as it is opened with the help of a broker (in my case, Maybank KE).

Any idea if I am able to easily redirect the dividend from SSB (the Direct Crediting Service seems to work only with Individual CDP account) to a non-Maybank account ? Am I right to say that by default, all dividends will be credited into my Maybank KE's account ?

I didn't know CDP has such a thing called a sub account until this problem occurred

CDP customers can retrieve their Individual CDP Account Number through a self-help option in SGX phone system by following the steps below:

1. Call SGX Hotline at 6535 7511 ;
2. Choose self-help Option 1 to check CDP account number;
3. Enter NRIC/Malaysian IC/Passport number and CDP registered mobile number; and
4. Once verified by the system, the CDP account number will be sent via SMS to the mobile phone.

Let's suppose you follow Tangent314's excellent advice, and you determine you don't actually have an individual CDP account. No problem: you can open one free of charge. There are at least three ways to open an individual CDP account:

1. Online.

2. Using their paper application form via postal mail.

3. In person at CDP's Customer Service Office.

Thanks Tangent, I have verified via their hotline that my IC number does not match any records in their database
