Hi guys,

Can i ask for solo trip to Ubud (want to stay in Ubud only) for about 9 days, is it a must to get a driver/car everyday? If not, where are the places that die die must have driver then can go? as i understand that Ubud is quite central so certain places can be reach by walking.

If need driver, is ubudtaxi.com ok? their day tours. first time going bali so not sure how it works and also for going solo. rest and relax trip. please help me thanks...

Ubud itself is very big & may not be able to cover everything on foot.
If u stay near Ubud Palace, u can still reach Monkey Forest.
Sidewalks are not best maintained, plenty of bikes/cars & hot & humid weather can make walking not so pleasant.
I think u can spend 3-4 days walking around to explore Ubud.
Dont need car everyday.
Maybe hire car with guide for just 1-2 days to explore outside Ubud (places like Kintamani, Gunung Kawi, Tegenungan Waterfalls, Tampak Siring, are some of my favourites). No need fixed tour I feel.

If you stay along Jln Hanoman or Jln Monkey Forest, you can get about anywhere in Ubud by foot.
Ubud is somewhat in the centre of Bali island. If you are asking about an excursion to other attractions on Bali island, no one tour given on the site you quoted fits my bill. For my plan during my first visit, I booked a full day's transportation to visit Tanah Lot, Ulu Watu (for the sunset kecak performance) and Taman Ayun Temple among others. You may want to research some and identify which are the attractions outside of Ubud you really like to visit, and see if any of the existing tours fits your requirement.

how is the availability of grab/blue-bird in Ubud? I went there 2 years ago and it was quite bad, as there were still protests by the traditional drivers back then. If it is easy to call for a cab, then there's no need to get a car with driver.

also want to know whether the same situation is happening at the airport now.

Availability a bit better but not as good as seminyak. U should try GoJek app

Download grab, go-nek and blue bird. I did that as sometimes difficult to get. So jus spam all 3. As you know some blue birds on the roads are not the legit ones. But you can bargain with them and agree on a comfortable price.

Airport wise I jus get my own driver
