installation duration

Hi guys,
Was installing my windows 8 with my newly built rig and I found my screen being stuck at a black screen with the windows 8 logo at the middle of the screen without anything else.
It's after I had chosen my drive to install and it had been 3 hours since it last restarted and installing.

My question is how long it usually take for that installing process, and
What will happen If I restart my pc now to try and install again, will my product code still be usable? (since I had key it in during this first try.)

Did you set the boot priority of your bios to the dvd?
If so, change the boot priority of the bios back to the hdd.

What you experience happened to me also and what i just mentioned worked for me.

Btw, the product key of Win 8 can be used infinite times if i''m not wrong, just that only one of the product key can be in existence at once, meaning that there cannot be duplicates of your product key on different machines.
