No issue. Tried restarting app or phone?

Anyone still having delays in getting their physical cards, or will they stick to their 14 day delivery timeline?

Has anyone encountered: XX was declined due to our security and risk policy.

Was midway on my overseas trip and suddenly this appeared, and I couldn’t make any more transactions. Also contacted the instaream customer service and they said it was the card provider?

wondering if this was amaze side or the bank CC.

I don't want to pay any foreign exchange fees when buying items online that are not in SGD, is this the card to get?

Also, add a mastercard that give cashback or miles to online spending. So you save on exchange fee and also earn cashback to the original card.
Eg, SAFRA 3% on online spending

Nope, no such condition. I always cancel my cards at the earliest opportunity.

Btw, it is Singsaver paying you. So our deal is with Singsaver, if we cancel the credit card, then Singsaver doesn't really care.
Even for moneysmart?

Also, won't doing so affect your credit score when it comes to re-applying?

why would cancelling a credit card affect credit score ?
as long as you are never delinquent in paying the bills/fees why would your credit score be affected?

if you paid all your bills and cancel/re-apply SH/ST/M1 fibre every 2 years after your contract ended. Would they black mark you and not want to service you next time?

On the surface, it looks like one is jumping in and out just for the benefits but your explanation makes sense, thank you for the analogy!

Anyway, for moneysmart, rewards can be rescinded if the user doesn't hold the card for a minimum amount of time (12 months in my case) as per terms and conditions.

I can tell you, i apply/cancel >30cards over the years, i have never been rejected. But i also have never missed a bill or had a late fee.

the rewards condition is the same for most CC banks. Min12mths, else they take back the rewards. Anyway once you apply, you cannot cancel immediately, else totally defeat the purpose for the banks to give welcome reward.

i also never been rejected except hsbc and ocbc, some banks know you are just there to take welcome gift, they will blacklist you after awhile. They did so not because of your credit score but more of the fact you are a unprofitable customer to them. Others like citi and amex let you keep taking free gift every 12 mths.

Maybe Citi and Amex staff by more angmo on top so more generous whereas HSBC OCBC staff by Chinese on top so more calculative? I kena HSBC before take freebie never spend a single cent next year annual fee waiver rejected

for me i took hsbc freebie then cancelled, since then last 5 years my application for hsbc cc never get approved before. ocbc is the most difficult, annual fee, welcome gift all most difficult to get.

hsbc is not so easy to approve in my opinion. many years back i was constantly rejected somehow. then stopped for a while. then few years back managed to approve and then i never cancelled any hsbc cards ever since, knowing how difficult an experience i had to apply even though my credit scores and everything were good.
