it depends on what you use Wise and Utrip for, as both are great for overseas payment.

both amaze and utrip cannot be added to google pay.
but both revolut and wise can be accepted into google pay

amaze not able to accept utrip.
amaze can accept wise, revolut but these 2 cards do not have cashback

indirect way for revolut is to use absolute(1.7%)<>grab<>revolut<> amaze(1%); totalling 2.7%
of course there are other known ways getting the 2.7% without revolut
dun see why get 1.7% when can get 4mpd or 3% linking the right card to Amaze, waste spend limit of Grab also.

just tested, amaze is marked as cc now, no more debit. I think it has been permanently switched off, a campaign that lasted only 2 days.

No lah. It has been marked as CC, that is the 1st step. Next Amaze will be enabled to make AXS transactions like other CC and not like a debit card. So the loophole of paying cc using cc is closed.

It will be good after the banks remove rewards for Amaze transactions.

Using GPMC directly gives 1.7% + 6 grabpoints which works out to 1.2% (or more if redeemed during promo). Not worthwhile using Amaze on GPMC (u forego 6 grabpoints for 1%) unless it's on things that GPMC don't give points.

There are many transactions you get no grab points. AXS, insurance, education etc.

Yup, only makes sense to use it for those. Not sure whether the Revolut-Amaze setup will hold for the long term though.

I wish some startup comes and truely disrupts the rental payment business. The current cardup/ipaymy is like a half hearted attempt, where the fees is confirmed but the rewards is not confirmed. We need someone who can payout confirmed net rewards.

Dream on. It costs more to accept cards. Cardup ipaymy are not exactly earning money for its core operations.

Come on. What has profitability of the business got to do with it? The fintech business model is to spend the VC money buying a large customer base so the VCs and owners can sell it to a SPAC who can then IPO it to retail investor bag holders.

There is no moat in this business. If AXS wants it, it can have much large volume than Cardup/ipaymy and much lower acquisition cost for both billers and consumers.

most of these business ends up just selling their users out.

the faster it is closed, the better.

It should be allowed in the beginning and hopefully it did not do much damage.

It is going to be so small like $100, why bother, you could just spend it.
