I gave Instarem / Amaze a hypothetical scenario whereby if I were to clock (non blacklisted MCCs) x151 transactions consisting of $9.99 which is equivalent to $1508.49

This was their reply..

Perhaps I should rephrase to them as

x1 transaction of $1499 + x1 transaction of $9.99

Will we get the cashback of 0.5/1% lol

you may want to ask Instarem yourself directly as you have questioned more than once of this matter, we already give you what we asked them and that applies to the min spending too.

The fx spread I am getting is about 1% worse than spot. So the 1% amaze rebate is to offset it. Only left to enjoy the 1.5% cashback from scb

actually 1% from spot is very good rate already. Should compare with usual Mastercard rate instead.

The usual visa rate is about 2.5%? If I use dbs live fresh or uob one (until it changes), still can get 5% or net 2.5%.

After uob one changes to 3.33%, will hard to find a cashback card for foreign currency online purchase.

there is currency conversion fee (2.8% to 3.5%)+visa currency conversion that is about 1% worse off than spot rate. for dbs/uob visa 3.25% fees, scb 3.5% fee

Comparing youtrip vs amaze. same time swipe at same merchant , i believe for amaze is good enough. SGD to MY

actually 1% from spot is very good rate already. Should compare with usual Mastercard rate instead.

It's still better than youtrip or revolut since you still earn credit card points on the underlying transaction.

Yes for me mostly i will use Amaze, as you still got CC points and 1% rebate from amaze.
maybe only big amounts like few k type , will use youtrip/revolut.
one question about youtrip. Is there any diff for SGD convert to EUR , then spend at shop VS SGD and spend EUR at shop at the same time ?

How soon it will be if I re-assign my Amaze to link to Card 2 from Card 1? Immediately?

Not sure if it's just my issue, but the Instarem app used to display my various linked cards' nickname in the card icon. However recently I noticed that is no longer the case. Anyone noticed the same?

it's been affected for a while, 1 or 2 weeks alr. mine is android, same as 2 person above cannot amend at all. but i memorise my card last 4 digits so i know wch is wch

unless this is not affecting iphone users.
