Insufficient storage error on S3

Have this error despite 9gbs of free space in the internal storage.
hv been search for help on how to resolve tis issue without rooting or factory reset.
can anyone advise?
clearing cache of apps is also useless

Friend's note 2 had the the problem. Don't think you have much choice. Do a factory reset first to see if it solve your problem. Else bring in to service centre.

having a sd card?

unmount the sd card from setting when you want to install apps. then, mount it back.

I always get a something like "internal storage left 0.95 gb" message on my S4 whenever I uninstall apps which is weird as my storage is at least 7 gb on storage device n 29 gb on my external sd card.

Any guys facing similar issue? I scare if this wrong reporting of capacity carry on, it might be the same case as TS.
