Hi all, our flight was delay coming to 18 hours (abt 25 mins lesser) . Had buy NTUC income and they indicate is per 6 hour block meaning they will only pay us 2 hour block (12 hour) .. Anyone got any experience on this kind of claim ? Thanks

To claim, u need to get the airline counter will issue u a statement. If that says 17 hours 59min, your claim still based on 12 hours (2x6 hour block)

Have claimed before from aig for my 7hrs bangkok flight delay by jetstar
they would issue us with a letter together with the company letterhead at the top . They would need document to prove the delay :)

SECTION 21*‐*TRAVEL DELAY
If the departure of the means of transport on which an Insured Person is booked to travel on a Trip is delayed from the scheduled departure date and time
due to
1 Natural Disasters occurring at the planned destination
2 Epidemic or pandemic as declared by the World Health Organisation
3 Strike, Civil Unrest, Riot or Commotion resulting in cancellation of scheduled Common Carrier services or in a relevant government warning against
non‐essential travel or any event leading to airspace or multiple airport closures
4 Inclement weather condition
5 Actual or suspected mechanical breakdown/derangement and structural defect of the air conveyance
The Company will pay S$100 for the first every full 6 consecutive hours of delay and $20 for subsequent each and every full hour thereafter up to
the specified limit applicable to the Selected Plan. Where the delay occurred in Singapore, the Company will pay a maximum of S$100 per Trip provided a
minimum period of 6 full consecutive hours of delay has lapsed.

Just to highlight, not all travel insurance is by block of 6hrs... above is the policy wording for travel delay for my travel insurance.
