Yaya I also felt they are handling good in this case . They never drag the time anymore . Once cancel , they charter buses n give us the money then off to the hotel ...

First time heard about this hotel haha ...
location is really indeed very far ...
not bad for that hkd80 ...
last time my flight delay in bangkok by tiger 3 hrs, they only gave us 200b ...
another time was delay in changi airprot 2hrs +, they gave us 8sgd voucher
just enuff to buy one economy rice at airport at 8sgd =.=

Me too .. Agoda dun have the booking for it .. Hehee .. Yaya I also think hkd$80 not bad . My colleague stranded in Macau by tiger is hkd$50

Hmmmm I did claim once with NTUC n my experience was good . Bkk announce big shutdown n I called them n they offered to refund me my air tkt n hotel stay etc .. Claim was hassle free .. The best part was last min the hotel refund us the money so we only claimed the air tkt and there was some currency difference for the hotel and I tried to claim it and NTUC pay us too ..

Nope.
Most or all insurers will pay if it meets the min of 6hrs delay.
Lastly, you will still need to letter that mentions the delay.

What ??? Then how ?? I just submitted my claim .. But is true that our flight was delay and not our fault . My colleague frenz claim the same thing from NTUC n they paid her .

i would interpret that as min 6hrs. it is the same as saying 'every $50 spend grants u a chance in a lucky draw'. it would mean u need to spend min $50 to get a lucky draw rite?

u could always go look up their T&C or call them up to clarify.

why dont u get evidence of the 2.30pm eg. from changi airport website, flightaware etc to proof your 18hr case?

at least its better proof than the 2pm scheduled time

Our new boarding pass actually asked us to be at the gate at 1330pm , by right we need to be at the gate 40 mins before departure ... Shall see how NTUC calculate .. Thanks

Try to find some hard evidence to substantiate your case
Insurance companies are sticky about such things

insurance companies would just see what was written in the letter.
if the letter says 2pm depart, then means 2pm ...
they wont buy into whatever u say ... letter is what they would see to justify ...

allied world.. not popular travel insurance in singapore. i bought from a hwz agent here. till now nothing happened, so cannot comment whether good or not.

i kenna delayed in HK.. lucky i was on SQ. they put me on Marriott near airport, and eat Marriott's buffet dinner and buffet breakfast which is really good.
