Intel CPU problem (tiny piece break off from underneath CPU)

Who has experience with this problem?

Underneath the Intel CPU got many tiny metal or ceramic things soldered on.

If one tiny piece breaks off,
1) can the CPU and motherboard power on?
2) can the computer still run reliably?
3) will installing the problem CPU cause the motherboard to break down?

most cpu once installed will rarely be removed, not moving parts also, why will easily break off?

Depends on what the SMD capacitors broken off are for. Sometimes can boot, sometimes can work, sometimes can freeze and sometimes can just work like nothing happened. I don't understand how you can break off the SMD from below.

It's difficult for any of the electrical component on the underneath of the CPU
to fall off.
If it fall off even if it can work, it won't be stable.

CPU rarely spoil but for me recently I very unlucky brought one spoilt CPU
from someone else. Underside no damage so maybe one of it's component spoil.

I forgot to mention it's about second hand CPU.
The previous owner (or owners) may have mishandled it (dropping, improper storage etc.), or imperfect soldering during manufacture cause the SMD to fall off after time, or damage during delivery. Got other reasons, but too many to mention here.

Which is why for PC parts I usually deal in person.
I will check for any missing component or physical damage before accepting.
However even if it is prefect like my recent incident, I went back to test the CPU isn't working.

So buying used parts have pros and cons.
Ultimately find a buyer/seller who can accept return when things doesn't work out.
Some buyer/seller don't care if item is sold whether working or not they don't entertain
any return.

No one can give you an accurate answer, no one knows which exact component broke off, no one knows how it will affect the processor if that unknown particular part broke off, and no one has a schematic diagram of the processor unless you work for Intel. So the answer you will get is "maybe"

If you bought this off Carousell or 2nd hand market, move on, you got a bad deal. If it's under warranty, you can try your luck, likely get rejected
