Hi i recently gotten this ssd from amazon. However, it seems to be not running at its optimal speed. I plucked the cable to a sata 3 port and did a fresh install of os only.

Is it the set fault or is there some settings that i done wrongly?

Thanks!

4k-64 Thrd low because u installed in ide mode, instead of ahci (setting in bios). also try plugging into intel sata 3 ports if avail, instead of marvell/other sata 3 port...

Common mistake: Installing OS on SSD with SATA setting set to IDE instead of AHCI

My 530 boots up slow always stuck at the windows7 logo for about 30s before logging in

Was ok before that.

Only so and drivers installed on sad. Everything seems ok with the intel tool

Those seeing this "pciide - BAD" means that ACHI is not enabled in bios.

Do note that enable ACHI after windows is installed will cause problems in booting to windows, you have to either
1) Reinstall windows after enabling
2) Edit windows registry before enabling ACHI mode
(Google "Enabling AHCI mode AFTER Windows Installation") May or may not work for some?

My 530:

Things to note for optimal speed:
1. You are using SATA 3 Port (Check BIOS or Mannual)
2. You are using AHCI instead of IDE (Check BIOS)

2 things to check:
1. connect to sata2 or sata3 port?
2. using AMD AHCI or Intel AHCI driver?

I'm not quite sure how to check, haha. But should be sata3.

I downloaded from the gigabyte download page, so it should be AMD AHCI driver i guess?

I too have the same problem with my intel ssd 530.

I have msi h87 g43 gaming board so it should be all ports are 6gb/s. my intel is not an OS drive, use it mainly to install games.

- Intel RST reports sata transfer rate of my Intel ssd 530 as 3gb/s instead of 6gb/s
- tried switching the port with my other drives and RST reports 6gb/s for other drives but still 3gb/s for my intel ssd 530.

using sata 3 cable on a sata 3 port, have the latest firmware.

crystaldiskmark benchmark is consistent with what other users who have the problem. almost half the performance of my other SSD.
